Dassault continues to push the limit when it comes to the range and performance of the ultra long-range private aircraft market. This Falcon 8x surpassed its predecessor, Falcon 7X by offering a range of 6,450 nm which is 500 nm more than the Falcon 7X had previously offered.
The trip engine model will be powered by a trio of Pratt and Whitney Canada PW307D turbofans which is the improved version of what the Falcon 7X offered. Alongside a new wing design, the new engine formulation will allow approximately a 35% increase in fuel efficiency. When we move to the cockpit, the Falcon 8X offers the same fly-by-wire technology that was introduced with the Falcon 7X. The difference between the two would be the upgrade to all systems such as Weather radar, flight management system as well as the other systems within the cockpit.
Moving towards the cabin, it is the longest cabin that Dassault has made to date. Noise and cabin altitude is at an all-time low with air quality being at an all-time high for Dassault. The cabin altitude offers 3,900 ft which is an all-time low and allows for less noise level and fewer effects of jet lag when arriving and traveling through different time zones. Another attribution that Falcon 8X lovers will enjoy is the fact that the aircraft can land at 85% of its maximum takeoff weight. This means that the aircraft can fuel up at its home base, make a quick stop on a short leg and then continue nonstop on its long haul leg without needed to refuel or burn off any fuel. This allows for mission flexibility on any routing that you may need.
